Trailing the scent...
Everything people ask before they download: how the AI match score is built, what the app does for free, whether the scanner works offline, and how the Scent Lab turns a creative brief into a manufacturable perfume formula.
Fragnatique is an AI perfume advisor that maps 3,000 fragrances across 680 atomic notes and matches them to you with a personal compatibility score. The app combines a 12-question profile, photo style analysis, an offline scanner, an industry consultant, and the Scent Lab where you create your own scent and export an IFRA-compliant manufacturing PDF.
Every perfume in our database is decomposed into top, heart, and base notes plus a six-axis accord radar. The match score compares that profile against your personal vector built from quizzes, liked fragrances, and photo analysis. The result is a percentage backed by a written paragraph that names the specific notes that fit you.
Yes. The fragrance match score, photo style analysis, the chatbot, the 680-note Olfactory Atlas, and the journal are all free. Premium unlocks the offline scanner and the full Scent Lab with IFRA-aware manufacturing PDF export. The app is a free download on the App Store.
The Scent Lab is an AI-guided formulation studio where you create your own scent. You answer creative prompts about Spirit, Foundation, Heartbeat, Superpower, and other expressive axes; an AI engine returns a complete fragrance formula with cost analysis, sensory and volatility profile, allergen declaration, IFRA Amendment 51 compliance check, and a 90-day aging prediction. The output is a five-page branded PDF you can take to a manufacturer.
Yes. The 3,000-fragrance database is cached on-device, so identifying a bottle and surfacing its notes pyramid, accord radar, season, longevity, sillage, and your match score works without a connection. Online connectivity is only required for image-heavy operations like photo style analysis.
Both designer and niche, in depth. Creed, Tom Ford, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Byredo, Diptyque, Penhaligon's, Mancera, Initio, Le Labo, Parfums de Marly, Xerjoff, Amouage, Andrea Maack, Hormone Paris, and many more. Coverage of niche houses is typically the best test of an AI perfume advisor's depth.
Fragnatique runs on iOS 16 and later. The marketing site at fragnatique.app and the journal are accessible from any modern browser.
Fragnatique is built by Appthos Studio OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. The company is part of the Tehnopol Startup Incubator and is supported by the Estonian deep-tech ecosystem. The full company story is summarized on the journal; for press or partnership inquiries, the contact form is on the support page.
